​I’m a dog groomer, and have been for 27 years. In the industry we often see dogs with allergies and skin issues. A customer of mine was battling these with their little Pug/Brussels Griffon mix pup that they had adopted. I did my best to alleviate the itching with special shampoo, and even with veterinary shampoo. After a medical tragedy the elderly couple had to rehome her because they could no longer care for her. I adopted her. I took her to my vet and explained the difficulties she was having and he suggested I come to a workshop he was having about pets and allergies the coming weekend. I attended and a veterinary nutritionist spoke at length about allergies and dog food. After that I tried Abady Toy granular dog food. I switched all my dogs that day after learning that while I was feeding them a good food, and better than most it wasn’t perfect. Within a month the bald areas on Tempe began to grow in. The red swollen feet and face became fuzzy, and normal flesh tone. The black spots on her skin disappeared. She stopped crying as she rubbed her face on everything in sight to itch the sore skin. In one month her entire life had changed. The last 10 years have been wonderful. After this I began to recommend to my clients that they try it as well. A Golden I’d been grooming for years had bald feet for as long as I could remember. Within one grooming cycle suddenly she had fur on her feet, and not just some fur, a lot of fur! She stopped chewing her tail, her chronic ear infections went away. This cemented to me this was no fluke. I began recommending this food to anyone and everyone. Hundreds of dog’s lives have changed for the better because of this food. We see less tear staining on faces, we see fewer dogs with bald feet and sore faces, we see happy owners and it’s all because of one simple solution, Abady foods. I don’t know what I would have done without this food. Tempe’s life changed for the better that day. My other dog’s lives did too. Our oldest Pug Loki lived to be 22 years old. Right up until the end he hadn’t seen our vet for any medical issues in years. He went for 6 month wellness checkups, and shots when needed, teeth cleaning and normal required maintenance, but nothing beyond that. At his last tooth cleaning when he was 20 they did his blood work and had to run it 3 times, because they couldn’t believe a 20 year old dog had the blood work of a 5 year old, it was that good. I attribute this to his nutrition and so does his vet. Our 10 year old female Pug, G-Baby, has never had a medical issue in her life, and our 9 year old Shepherd mix hasn’t either. All the dogs are in perfect physical health. Every day I hear about how important good nutrition is for us, and I wonder how does that stop being important when it comes to our dogs? It doesn’t. Abady dog food knows this, and I can’t thank them enough for making sure my fury crew is happy, healthy and they live good, long lives. I have been feeding Abady for a few years and have yet to find a feed that comes close to it. A German Shepherd dog of working bloodline heavily back massed on the legendary Lord Vom Gleisdreieck ( multiple SCH 3, FH3, and multiple DDR Seiger and Euromeister ) , this dog has ball drive to literally run herself to death, and equally matched by fight drive and natural aggression . Despite this, she settles nicely and non destructively in the house. She has been on Abady’s Maintenance and Stress formula for over a year and the results have been astounding. She weighs a solid (and muscular) 90 lbs. with a very firm and tight structure. Her coat is soft. Lush and shiny and she has no “doggy “smell (we bathe her once in 6 weeks). There are absolutely no skin allergy issues, and her shedding is normal (not year round but seasonal); she goes off 1-2 times in 24 hours (firm, moist, dark brown, and dense stool). A close look at her pictures will show there is no matter build up in or tear stains from her eyes. Her facial expression is alert, and her eyes, lips, and nose maintains the correct levels of moisture; her tongue is always a healthy flush red (a sign of good oxygenation). The one downside I found with this food is that she took about 4 weeks to adjust to it. In the first four weeks she would produce watery stool within 4 hours of eating. The benefit however seem to far outweigh that period of her stomach adjusting. I could not finish this review without mentioning Natasha the owner of Chateau Le Woof in Queens who has excellent customer relation skills and is very pleasant to do business with. I also would like to acknowledge Erica from Abady’s who spent a lot of her busy time with me on the phone talking about the stress and maintenance formula and sent me a free 4lbs starter box…the rest is history and the proof of the pudding is in the eating…look at the dog.

​My little 5 lb toy fox terrier is 16 and recently diagnosed with an ulcer. She had been on the raw food diet for about 8 years and suddenly could not tolerate it. She was vomiting frequently, eating grass, and had lost a pound. I had been advised by her vet to change her food, but didn't know what to give her. After letting her sample several "top brand" canned cooked dog foods,with no success. She either didn't like them or vomited. I stumbled upon Robert Abady in my research. The office manager was kind enough to send me two sample cans. It was an instant success with my dog.  I have been using your food since 2005 (13 years!) and I will truly never switch.  Recently, I recommended your food to a friend who has a 14 year old boxer whose health and ability to digest was rapidly declining.  After speaking with you guys, I got her some Vitality A Diet and within a few days, her dog seemed several years younger!  I should be used to this by now, as I have had the same response with several of the rescues I have changed to your food, but I am always in awe when it happens right in front of me.  Thank you for making a food I can trust in, that is amazing for all my animals (I use it at the sanctuary for several species!) and for always being just a call away when I have a question or may need advice about what is best nutritionally for my pet at this time.  There aren’t many companies that care about their customers the way you guys do anymore.  Thank you Thank you for all you do…my animals will ALWAYS eat your food!

09/27/18 - Anthony Moulesong - My Cane Corso AND MINIATURE Dachshund
​My Cane Corso, Jezebel, is five years old now, and she's been eating Abady granular her entire life. I also have a miniature Dachshund, Chester, who I found wandering in the street without tags, and he's been eating it for three years. The results have been nothing short of spectacular. My breeder recommended it, but I had to research it for myself. The claims seemed to good to be true, but every single one of them have come to pass. My dogs are lean and muscular (even Chester!), and I allow them to eat as much Abady as they please (one of the wild claims). I've seen overweight dogs, and I know it's the food they eat that's the problem. My dogs have constant access yet don't overeat. When I first took Chester in, he weighed 10 pounds, but after eating Abady, he bulked up to a whopping 13 pounds (ha!). The vets at the animal clinic always rave about the health of my dogs, and each dog only goes once yearly for shots and a checkup. My dogs show no signs of allergies, diabetes, or any other maladies associated with other dog foods. Jezebel had her check-up yesterday, and the complimented me on the state of her teeth. I had to give Abady credit. I've never brushed Jezebel's teeth once. When dogs don't have to chew carb-laden food, they don't get rotten teeth. The dogs slurp the granular food rather than chew it. It makes my life easier since I don't have to try to get a 95 lb. dog to sit still and let me brush her teeth. Abady food might be more expensive than what you can get at the average store, but in my opinion, it's well worth the extra cost. I have healthy dogs who require no medications or extra trips to the vet. I'd much rather spend that money on food to keep them healthy than on the vet to alleviate problems caused because I'm skimping on their nutrition. If you're going to have dogs, it's much better to have healthy dogs! I strongly urge you to at least try Abady. See for yourself the amazing results. Your dogs will thank you!

​We first bought Abady Dog Food for our Doberman in 1987. Rose was only Six, but she was having back problems and kidney infections. A friend recommended we try Abady and we have never looked back. Rose lived to a ripe old age of 13.5 and took her last backpacking trip when she was 12. Thirty-two years, three Rottweilers, two German Shepherds and four Cane Corsos later, we recommend Abady to everyone. All of our dogs have been amazingly healthy their whole lives. With the exception of our Rott Della, who was stricken with lymphoma at age 6, our dogs have all lived years past their breed’s predicted life-span.

If I could give 10 stars I would. If I went into detail about the number of animals I have fed the various Abady formulas to over the years you'd be bored reading about them all - but let's just say I've done the fresh frozen raw food, puppy formula, maintenance and stress, and older dog. In addition I have also fed the granular, kibble, and canned cat foods as well. The short and sweet is that this food is manufactured to scientifically match up with the animal's digestive system and give them the best nutritionally complete food anywhere. I will never feed a different brand of food. My last dog passed away at the age of 12 after having eaten the food her whole life and never had a nutrition-related vet bill for her. These foods are worth their weight in gold and will save you so much money over the long run it's unbelievable. If you're on the fence, go ahead and try.

My dog, a 70-lb labrador-pitbull mix, has had a problem of mushy, sometimes even liquid stool, for the last four years.  I had him checked by the vet-blood tests, intestinal tests-she said nothing is wrong. But for me, the embarrassment was terrible because he might poop on someone's lawn and I couldn't pick it up! I tinkered with his diet--add pumpkin, give only super-premium canned food, no chicken, no table food, etc, etc, nothing helped.  Then I started giving him Abady frozen raw food--within less than a week his stool became firm enough for me to pick up. And does he ever love the food!  He drools while I prepare his bowl, something he never did with kibble or canned food.

Dexter the fawn Doberman has eaten granular Formula for Maintenance and Stress his whole life and continues to thrive at 12.5 yrs old with a great coat for this alopecia prone, recessive color variant of the breed! I absolutely attribute his well being to this great food. And beyond the great products, the company and its employees provide wonderful, knowledgeable customer service! When I ran low on food while out of town more days than expected, Dietrich and Sue went out of their way and above and beyond to get some food shipped out to me for next day delivery. As a customer for over 20 years, I’ve always been delighted with the products and customer service I’ve received. Now that I think about it, I really should have written a testimonial sooner.

​After being a bulldog dad for over 22 years. I have tried to figure out the perfect formula to all my dog's nutritional needs. From premium kibbles to even cooking all their meals daily. Being that I chose one of the most fickle breeds to have in my life. Their food has always been an uphill battle. After about two months of being on the Abady diet of a mixture between the canned and granular food, my 8 year old and 6 year old has never been better. Between the energy level and less seasonal allergies. My wife and I were thinking "nothing can give our pups better quality of food than our own cooking. We were wrong. Abady has managed to balance the nutrition spectrum to everything that a pup needs. Like most dog parents, I was very skeptical, luckily the results speaks for itself. The staff is caring and knowledgeable to carefully cater to my pups needs. I highly recommend all dog owners to give Abady a try and see the results for themselves.

​My first Rottweiler, Dustin ear infections started before he was 6 months old, that the vet had me treat with the blue otic solution. Over the years the severity of his ear infections kept getting worse with the treatments progressing to deep ear cleanings a couple of times a year to two times per week because the organisms ate through his ear drum infecting his middle ear. Being a Medical Technologist, I kept bringing up to the vet that we were not resolving the cause of the ear infections, therefore the ear infections would never go away. I could not do nothing any longer for Dustin’s sake and the deep ear cleanings were costing me a lot of money (anesthesia for a 120lb dog is not cheap). I was discussing this with a friend and she said it could be a dermatology issue. She also told me about Marcia at For Dogs Sake, in Chicago, IL who helped her clear up her German Shepard’s IBS as well as her mom’s dog who would scratch itself bloody. I managed to finagle in getting Dustin an appointment with a Veterinary Specialist Dermatologist. Once we arrived for Dustin’s appointment, they became aware that I did not have a referral from his primary vet, however the Dermatologist agreed to still evaluate Dustin. She was surprised at how bad his ears were and agreed to treat him. I managed to clear up his ears through her help, with strong steroid ear ointments; and the help from Marcia taking over his diet, switching him to Abady Granular Maintenance & Stress, and she built up his wiped-out immune system with Abady canned Tripe, and colostrum. Dustin never had another ear infection. I moved to Miami, Florida when I had my second Rottweiler, Drake (160lb). Nobody in South Florida carried Abady dog food, so I switched him to Blue Buffalo Wilderness. Not long after the switch I noticed that the skin on his nose and lips was not looking normal. I thought it’s most likely a skin issue and called up Abady. They started to ship the granular Maintenance & Stress dog food to my house. The skin on Drake’s nose and lips went back to normal. I calculated how much the dog food bill per month was with Blue Buffalo vs the Abady granular 45lb boxes (~$150 with shipping) and Abady was quite a bit less expensive. Plus, I don’t have extra vet bills outside of the yearly checkup, and he poops a lot less (his body uses a lot more of the food). When I had Drake, I also had a Maltese, Louie that I rescued (an ex-puppy mill dog for 7 years that I thought would never be potty trained), and a Havanese, Lola. All three of them ate the same food and never had any issues, only seeing the vet for their yearly check-up. After Drake passed away, I rescued a Rottweiler, Boden and he has only seen the vet for his annual checkups. I will not switch from Abady dog food products. Plus, they are the nicest people to work with, and are very willing to help with which product is best for your pet.

Our 11 year old dog had stopped eating. We took him to the vet and they couldn’t find anything wrong. They said he was just getting pickier. We tried SO MANY different foods. We made him food ourselves, tried every subscription - he wouldn’t eat anything until we got this and he loves it. He is eating again and we are all so much happier

​Two months after switching to Abady granular, my German Shepherd (a puppy at the time) physically changed for the better. His stool became solid, less frequent and smaller. The goop in his eyes every morning went away completely. His coat is glossy and beautiful and he never smells bad!
